While my stay at the hotel was filled with delightful moments and fantastic staff, it was marred by some notable inconveniences. The room upgrades were lovely, but my partner's birthday surprise was a bit rocky due to missing chocolate strawberries and luggage transfer delays. Overall, an experience that had the potential to be unforgettable but fell short in specifics.

I had a wonderful experience at The Athenaeum, with exceptional service and beautiful rooms that made for a memorable stay. The staff were very attentive and engaging, particularly Geetanjali during check-in and the doormen, Jim and Fabiano. However, there were challenges during my stay, including some issues with the lighting and heating in rooms. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for anyone wanting luxury in a prime location.
